When i was in screwfix the other day they had that dewalt impact driver on the shelf. It felt a canny tool. Certainly much better than the 18 volt impact driver i have. Nice and light. And the motor sounded well smooth where the motor in the one i have sounds well rough. The dewalt 10.8v cordless on display also seemed canny. Im not so sure on bosch stuff.
I have a bosch sds plus drill that seems to be faulty. It struggles an awful lot. Sometimes doesnt hammer and intermitently makes a funny noise. Also we have 2 bosch sds max breaker drills. One (the newer one) makes a strange noise also. And the other which is about 4 years old now hammers only sometimes.

The first 2 i mention are 2012 drills and from the pro range. The other has had a bit of use but id certainly expect it to last longer for the cost of em.
